So you’re thinking about getting involved?
Thanks for taking the time to look at New Life Outreach. The fact that you have read this far probably means you care about the world around you and would like to make a difference for the good. Why get involved at New Life?
After all, you could join the Rotary. We believe Jesus intended His church to be the hope of the world in every way. When people’s lives have been put back together by grace, they want to share that grace with others. If that’s you…or you are at least investigating…here is what we do:
We serve our community. Since Jesus said He came “to serve not to be served,” we believe His followers should love people around them in a practical way. We partner with the church in other parts of the world, to serve people of different languages and cultures and to share the gospel with those who haven’t heard. (Matthew 28) We are transformed along the way. You may have heard the secret--many of the best friendships are formed while serving together. Many discover a sense of calling and a place to use their gifts in a purposeful way. All of us know Jesus a little better when we serve and love people He loves.
Who can go?
Really anyone willing to make some sacrifices. There are opportunities for all ages (look for events marked “family” for kid-friendly environments). You are welcome even if you are new around here! You may just be investigating faith—serving with believers may be just the place to find out more about following Jesus. All serving involves sacrifice. You will be asked to work as a team, put your own agenda aside, and put the needs of others first. If you are ready for a challenge, we are ready to serve with you!
